TattooJinn is built for the step before the tattoo studio: turning a vague idea into something you can show an artist. You type the idea the way you would say it ("a moth under a crescent moon, small, on my forearm"), optionally upload a reference photo or sketch, then pick one of 48 styles such as Fine Line, Blackwork, Japanese, Realism or Micro Realism, plus a body placement, a size and black & grey or color. Each generation returns a draft sketch that you refine with a text instruction or by painting over an area with a brush, and every edit is saved as a new version so you can compare drafts. Companion tools cover lettering (a tattoo font generator), clean line art (Tattoo to Stencil), cover-up and filler drafts from a photo of your skin, and an idea generator for when you only know what the tattoo should mean. It runs in a mobile or desktop browser, with no app to download.
Best use cases
Best for: a first tattoo, when you know the subject but not the style. Try the same idea in two or three styles or placements and compare the drafts. Preparing a consultation: bring your artist a few concrete directions instead of a long description. Names, dates and short quotes, set in different lettering styles with the font tool. Planning an addition: a filler between existing pieces, or a cover-up draft from a photo of the old tattoo, for your artist to assess.
Honest limitations
TattooJinn produces first drafts, not finished tattoo designs: the site itself says your artist still adapts the size, line detail and placement and draws the final stencil. Without an account you get a small number of free tries (each generation or edit uses one), and a free account adds 50 more; high-resolution downloads require the paid Pro plan. Guest projects are kept for 30 days unless you create an account. The body preview on a stock photo is a Pro feature with its own limits, and the Try-On preview on your own photo is a visual guide, not an exact-scale render. An uploaded reference inspires new designs rather than being copied exactly.
